Reading the Main Story


If a student is working on a word . . . wait for 7 seconds. Then ask, does that sense?
Reading Mastery: This edition is organized so that the comprehension skills are taught in a cumulative manner. Then practiced throughout the lessons.

The main story is paired with another reading passage. This provides students with the opportunity to read without interruption.

The story diagram is a strategy that uses a graphic organizer to help students learn about the elements of a story. Also, may be used as a tool to retell the story.
