I'm a reading specialist for the intermediate grades at R. J. Elementary. I've been a teacher on Annette and Revillagigedo Islands. I returned to Metlakatla to teach third, fourth, and fifth grade for the Annette Island School District. I have a Reading Endorsement and a Elementary Education Certification.

Research indicates the need for intervention in the early years for literary success. But I learned that teaching struggling readers in the intermediate grades made a tremendous impact on student’s achievement.
